@Orac...
Thanks I actually didn't know we could customize them...
(don't follow Ares too much cause I mod&play TS)

I'm just saying I'm not a fan of adding features from other games.
But I may goto RA2/YR whenever I get a new laptop just for this kinda fun(:
Good luck to the Ares team. looks very promising. |

Ares does nothing by itself, only modders can activate it's features. If you don't like some of the things it has added then simply don't use them. |

The majority of features are entirely customisable, and can be turned off. Aside from bugfixes to YR, of course. |

| I wont rate it before I try it myself, there are lots of features that are on the list already, but I sure want to see features from other RTS games (other than WW/EA's ones), I would sure like a feature from advanced wars 2, the one which the enemy can't see the stats of your units, that could at least be seen through damage fire and damaged frames and smoke. |

Wow, that looks really promising. It really makes me consider to switch to Ra2 modding (but only after TI is finish ).
The only concerns i have are, does it run stable and does it produce lags. |

Second Ares trailer!
|
|
Second trailer for Ares Expansion DLL with new features and more enhancements for Yuri's Revenge has been released.
Restored features from Tiberian Sun, features inspired by Generals/ZH, superweapon clones, reverse engineering, improvements of logics which existed in the game but were incomplete (ex. hijackers, carryalls) - this and more to appear in the upcoming 0.2 version of Ares. If you want to support Ares - read more.
Version 0.1 of Ares is already available for download at the official website.
NOTES: Certain features in the videos are only available in testing builds for now. Bounty logic will not appear in 0.2 yet. Video has been created with a beta version of Mental Omega 3.0. |
