I remember that theme, actually, and loved the hell out of it. Why it was axed is beyond me. |

| With so many talented graphical artists here I'd have thought getting a cool modern PPM redesign would have been easy. |

I think there should be a competition to redesign the PPM banner/logo on the forums page at least!

Damn, now this brings back memories (both good and bad). Still, ain't there a way that we can select the previous skin?
EDIT: alright, where is the button to look up unread new posts? Can't find the damn bugger with this theme. |

| Just to point out: digital twilight is not fully working. I still have to fix a bunch of things on it. That's why it's looking a way worse than it used to be. |

Agreed!
Although it's lacking some pizazz, I like the ptfilo board the best. |

it's alright. could use some inprovement though - the top logo for example stands out awkwardly against the backdrop.
I also don't really like how the "view new posts" has been moved/removed. |

If I change the forum software in a later time, this skin won't be brought into it, unless I get desesperate .

I agree that TiberiumWeb theme looks much better, but it has been created for another forum software and its conversion to phpBB demands a lot of effort, which I'm not willing to take.
| Lin Kuei Ominae wrote: | | Or how about a PPM Theme Design Contest? |
2 questions:
a) Who would implement these skinsand how would they be given to me?
b) Who would organize the contest? (not me).

i came, i saw, my eyes bled.
No offense but everything seemed to clash and merge under that theme just enough it actually kind hurt my eyes. Glad to know there's other themes for this place again though. Just would love something darker that has a nice text and icon pack.
I'm in total agreement with LKO about a PPM Theme Design Contest.
Although not sure how many people would actually enter. |

| I didn't like it back then and I don't like it now. You should really consider putting more effort into upgrading PPM rather than downgrading it (No offense intended). |

Oh this is ancient! I barely remember anything but the top banner. Well, the skin beats the ugly white any day, but this is littered with problems. The view new posts, view own posts and view unreplied topics buttons only appear in the forum menu, and the Quick Edit mode is broken.
To be honest, you make the transfer to a new forum software ever more difficult by adding more and more old and outdated features into an outdated software. |

PPM 2005: ColdTheme is back!
|
|
After more than 5 years with forum skins that does not resemble the purpose of this community in any way, shape or mean, we've finally got a new forum skin... actually, old: very old.
The PPM 2005: ColdTheme (aka. ppm), which was somewhat based on how the site look like back in 2003 to 2005, is back online. Perhaps it has one or other influence of subSilver, which will be eventually cleared up. Don't ask me when. I hope one day we'll have a proper forum skin that resembles the current or future looks of our site, but for now, that's what I could restore. I hope you enjoy it.
This theme is now the official one from our forums, although ptifo and subSilver are still online. |
