'Stinger' Mobile SAM

SAM Launcher: The Stinger Mobile SAM is The Brotherhoods primary anti-air unit; its advanced onboard targeting systems coupled together with its Stinger SAMs can eliminate an enemy aircraft within a matter of moments. This armoured unit normally travels with any Nod convoys to protect them from airborne threats; however, the Stinger itself is incapable of engaging land targets, it should never be without an escort.

Cost: 700
Primary: Anti-Air missiles
Requires: War Factory, Radar

do you planned Nod to have in general a more dark color scheme?
If not i would suggest retexturing it to a more metal grey color with just some small dark details.

Maybe TB should overwork it a bit and add some more details, though.

What I had in mind was for the Nod vehicle / infantry color scheme to be darker about the same level of darkness as on this unit but all robotic units to have a more metallic texture, such as the Viper, Cyborg and Cleaver Drone (Deathbed). If Team black wants to, he can go over this voxel. Wink

that sounds plausible and should give ingame a nice way to separate the different types of units while obtaining the general Nod design.

in german the TD MSAM was called "Stahlhagel" what means more or less "Steel shower" or "Storm of Steel". Maybe native english speaker can find a better name similar to this.

Though "Storm of Steel" would be already quite similar to the names "Obelisk of Light" and "Temple of Nod"

hmmm... You need some symbolism, GDI's symbol is the eagle right? Maybe "Eagle Hunter" if you're going for birds of prey.

Harpoon Missiles? I mean GDI's aircraft are Orcas, and you use harpoons to kill whales.

Viper/DeathAdder? Cobra...i see "symbolically" a serpent of some kind is the antithesis of an eagle.

I mean Hydra/ Gorgon or Medusa since GDI has some greek myth influenced names and if it used the MRLS salvo like effect so its like many heads charging their target to strike.

I just read the new unit desription and all i thought was "overpowered", the main way to take out artillery units (apart from artillery) is aircraft, apart from units getting in close that thing is invulnerable :S

It's not really all that overpowered in-game though it may sound it being as its a high tech unit. Its specialty is taking down aircraft and its range isn't THAT long, about the same as an obelisk and just a big longer than the MLRS walkers weapon. It fires really slowly too as its missiles are quite powerful and its quite well armored.

As far rapid fire, not exactly. It has a slow rate of fire but long range, if it was rapid that would be both unrealistic and overpowered.
