The Ever Growing 'Thorn' Infestation
Subject description: Another form of Tiberium?
Thorn Infestation:
The Thorn Infestation became a noticeable problem in around 2012. Believed to be a Tiberium mutation of a pre-existing thorn plant type, the Thorn Infestation quickly started dominating areas abundant with trees and plant life, most commonly sprouting from small lakes or water pools and making it's way onto land. The Thorn would quickly spread and massively leech resources from it's local areas surroundings, usually in the process choking any attempts for other vegetation to get nutrients or to grow and spread any further, very similar to the effects of Tiberium. It is unknown how exactly a Thorn Infestation sprouts or begins, whether it is a particular plant or form of vegetation is unknown, as Thorn Infestations have emerged from nearly all regions of the globe. This unfortunately makes it difficult to combat or try and contain Thorn Infestations, as they can emerge at any location without warning and the definitive source can not be found. Attempts to burn down Thorn "fields" have only proved moderately successful, whilst the Thorn's themselves proved to be heavily damaged from an inferno, they were able to recover incredibly quickly and also seemed to become more resilient to fire damage in the process. What could be triggering this new Infestation?

Oh I suck with descriptions. We have Morpher to thank.
I was going to throw an Image or two in, but I've only made old screenshots of the Thorn infestation. Once I've fixed the terrain to blend with the new terrain I'll make some new images. _________________ Aro - Leader of Twisted Insurrection

Is this actually going to become a resource, like a replacement for the tiberian veins? _________________ Destroy to create. All for the hunt to dominate! QUICK_EDIT

The first campaign mission:
Intro: Kane and his appointed staff are having a meeting in one of the mysterious Temples that the Brotherhood runs Tiberian experiments in. This Temple happens to be a top research facility; the Brotherhood's finest.
Kane: It has come to my attention that while in the field, our scientist, [enter Nod scientist's name here], has found a rather peculiar substance that has similar qualities to Tiberium. I would like to know what this substance is. All intel now tells us that it is lethal if exposed to it without proper precautions, it grows faster than ordinary plants, it protects itself with thorns that prevent anything that may somehow be tiberium proof from handling it, and it has the ability to thrive in water.
Brotherhood of Nod Advisor of Scientific Affairs (that's a mouthful) : As of now, the Brotherhood's top scientists are being sent into the field around the area the plant was first found by [enter scientist's name here], but we have to be cautious in entering the vicinity as GDI patrols are everywhere.
Kane: Commander, you heard that. You must make sure our scientists can get to the site safely for study and excavation of the plant for further study. I look forward to results.[/intro]
Mission Objectives:
1.) Escort the scientists safely to the excavation site. (once this objective is complete, an MCV + more reinforcements will arrive).
2.) Build a base and protect the excavation site (for any amount of time you choose).
3.) Once the site has been sufficiently protected for [enter amount of time here], destroy the GDI base to the [enter cardinal direction here].
4.) Destroy all GDI forces. _________________ Don't throw me into the briar patch.

Kane is dead in TI. Or 'dead'. Either way he's not here. _________________ DIAB: Dragons are lame.

You can't live it down
From what I can tell we are learning more about the thorn substance, which is quite cool. I'm guessing the campaign will reveal all! _________________ DIAB: Dragons are lame.

It sort of looks like a dino head straped to some tanks and pipes _________________ Creator of TS:BoB and some other things that might be good when finnished. QUICK_EDIT
I think it'd be more something like:
Globotech in it's early years was expirimenting with lifeforms, vegetation and tiberium.
But it seems an expiriment went out of control as contact with the base was lost. _________________ QUICK_EDIT

I never actually noticed the Dinosaur head thing until someone pointed it out, it does kind of look like the head of a T-Rex.
Anyway, I can't be bothered to go into detail about what the most recent image is cause I'll be here for ages, but I'll explain in due-time. _________________ Aro - Leader of Twisted Insurrection
Looks like a Tyranid somehow. If I was a Nod soldier:
"Unholy son of a 617<#, for Kane I will kill you!"
If I was a GDI soldier: "OMG, run!" QUICK_EDIT

It looks more like a synapsid(mammal-reptile) than a Tyrannosaurus.
Okay so I'm a newbie to these forums but I must say that I really like what I see here... _________________ Transferring Available Funds....
