Looking for beta testers!

Currently, the two man team of beta testers, Yurisarmy and myself, is insufficient to test an entire mod.

My bro occasionally gets around to playing, but I need more opinions than those of my brother and Yurisarmy. Past beta-testers have been well...could you say, manipulating me for free-pre-release tests of the mod. I got no error reports, no balance issue reports, and I know they are there.

This mod has those problems, and I my views of the mod are certainly more idealistic than others.


If you wish to test this mod in its current beta stages, please say so.

If you want to test, please remember your duty is not to just play the mod, it is to search for balance issues, errors, AI problems, bad units and issues concerning gameplay.

I am not being strict here, if you want to test, just sign up and if you encounter something that could endanger the balance of the mod, or one of the problems I listed, report it in a text file...

Pretty simple, huh?

Good. I am starting a new work schedule for my modding, alternating weeks for both my mods, organizing a "what to do" schedule for the Cold War/Star Strike respectively each day at lunch at school.

I'm interested in Beta testing for Star Strike if you're still accepting testers. I've never tested for any mod before, but I'm very thorough when it comes to comparing units for balancing, and I would do the best job I'm capable of.

I got AIM, Yahoo, and MSN, but I'm hardly ever on anything besides MSN. Get Pidgin, it does all of the major IM protocols.

I'm usually on at some point every other day, and once Eva gets his stuff set back up I'm sure he'll be on more often.

Hello HunterKiller- to answer your question, I use MSN exclusively, so if you wish to beta-test, you may want to get a screenname there.

Do note that my laptop died, and I am currently on a machine that isn't configured for playing any CNC, let alone YR, so I can't necessarily do much in regards to distributing new internal betas, sorry. :/

As for your lack of prior testing experience- it should be no deal as long as you can point out bugs/imbalances. Which isn't hard considering the changes SS is going through ATM.
