Error when playing the map Zeta City. It happened right at the moment the first Ion Storm starts, it must be related to that because I've been playing around for a while now without problems, but this was the first Ion Storm.

Zeta City has been a problem before for random IE's, but I thought that had been resolved for the Public Release, it looks like unfortunately, I was wrong. I'm still not sure what causes that IE, but it's nothing to do with the Ion Storm because sometimes the map plays perfectly, and at other times, it IE's at any given moment. I'll look deeper into the map. _________________

From the description, the jumpjet-ionstorm crash might've caused this one. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
Then it's even more likely that the cause is a known engine bug (hard to fix) which causes the game to crash sometimes when jumpjets die on air when an ion storm starts. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
Well, I was in the map "Pig of Bays" when i got an Internal Error, it always happens to me after some minutes of game in a map with globotech things (damn globotech )
Whenever I try to load map TI crashes [both with and without win98 compatibillity].
Sometimes it does start map correctly but it doesnt load all graphics/rules.
Happens with older versions of TI public betas too - since I've reinstaled my system.
Attachment contains 5 crashes [engi.txt - when it loaded map and I tried to produce engineer] + logfile.
Heres screenshot of how it looks when it manage to load map http://i.imgur.com/MCqJE.jpg
Im running Win XP sp2.

My best suggestion for this is to try reinstalling, provided you're following installation instructions properly (Extract the TI folder from the download, open it, run Twisted Insurrection.exe). Just for clarification, you're not putting the TI files in your Tiberian Sun directroy are you? Cause to me, it looks like TI is trying to read TS or Firestorm files (hence the missing cameos and names of the units). It's not uncommon for people to throw their TI download into their SUN directory even though I have said a million times that you don't need to do it. Make sure the only files in your TI directory are the ones that came with the download. TI is definitely trying to read INI files from somewhere else in your image. _________________
Nope, It's a fresh installation, tried re-dling, even downloaded TI public beta 2 and got same result.
Perhaps there's something wrong with my registry files cause I remember I did backup part of it before reinstalling windows some time ago.
It would help me much if any1 know keys that TS creates upon normal installation [backward engineering the TS installator anyone? ]. QUICK_EDIT
Wasn't helpful, seems that my TS registry keys are still valid.
BTW I cannot play TS online [whenever I try to join any hosted game on xwis it tells me that my version is incorrect] since OS reinstallation.
I was using package from EA Classics site - the one that contains Nyerguds Westwood Online DLL Registry Tool.
Multi doesnt work even when Im using other TS packages [such as one from cnc-comm or XCC site].
In the end I could just try removing all TS/SUN keys in registry but I cannot find any related keys with that DLL Registry Tool.
Also while searching registry under Tiberian Sun/SUN phrases I didnt find anything that could be the cause of TI and TS multiplayer not working correctly. :/ QUICK_EDIT

Oh, I apologize, I misread your post.
CCleaner comes with a Registry cleaner tool which could be worth having a look at. I admit that I don't have a lot of knowledge at all when it comes to Windows and Registry entries, that's not my area of expertise. _________________
So, I've deleted every single TS related key from my registry and it didnt help any much.
And guess what? ENLIGHTMENT!
I've moved all .ini's from TWIINS.MIX/LOCAL.MIX into TI main folder and now it WORKS!
Any suggestions why my system is having trouble to load em directly from local.mix? QUICK_EDIT

According to a guy in the Public Beta 3 download thread he had the same problem and got it working by deleting any traces of excess Rules.ini files from his computer (including ones in ZIP Archives), not certain why TI reads those files, but at least it fixes the issue. _________________
I was also having troubles trying to set up a LAN game with my brother the other day, maybe your "steal focus" solution works for me. _________________ Always remember, it's just a game. QUICK_EDIT
No one cares about Hamachi nowadays, we staff use CnCNet instead.
About your problem, you don't need WOL for playing in LAN, and about the focus and crash problem I have no idea what could be causing that. I'm pretty sure the rest of the staff is viewing these reports too, but aren't posting because they also don't know how to fix these issues. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
so, "^Ramstein" , LAN should work without hamachi, just over CNCNet? tried it? _________________ This is my signature and it has just been signed. LoOL! QUICK_EDIT
For pure LAN, you just need to launch TI and click on Network. No Hamachi or anything is needed for playing in pure LAN.
If you're trying to play over the Internet without a LAN connection with the other player, run cncnet.exe from TI's directory and then click on Network. It should work.
And I'd prefer to be called Rampastring. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
a soooooo... we thought that hamachi were needed to play TI.. that COULD explain those errors... we'll give it a try next time then... till that, playing it skirmish _________________ This is my signature and it has just been signed. LoOL! QUICK_EDIT
When trying to create a single player mission Final sun wouldn't save... so i tried making the map in multiplayer and i get alot of errors.
the map and txt files are in the zip.
Using TI Beta 3.
You've placed tiberium on slopes near the center of the map, that makes the game crash. Remove it and you should be good, unless there's something else crashing it. _________________

The EIP (0045602B) has been occuring for a long time now, but I have finally found out what has been causing that Internal error so it will no longer happen in PB4, I am fucking glad to say. _________________

Good to hear.
Also, while I don't have the logfiles on my harddrive now I should point out that skirmish always crashes on me for whatever reason (literally - I have never actually finished a skirmish game because of this). Next time I play a game a it crashes, I'll post the files here. QUICK_EDIT

Internal erro when loading a save game
I got this internal error when loading a saved game on the map The Depressions, I am attaching the except.txt, logfile.txt and the saved game that this error occurs.
ok im running windows 8 and i got the c&c decade tiberian sun, and the launcher works fine and installed ok, but when i launch the game it tells me to put it in 16bit colors so i did now when i launch it, i cannot see the menu at all its all black but i can click on the options then when i start a game it crashes and tells me to end the game.
could anyone help me out i like what i this beta has to offer and like to help!
Uh oh, Windows 8, there has been nothing positive heard on its backwards compatibility rumors wise and you are probably among the first to try these old games on win8 as technically every new windows is ever greater risk that old games will not work and sadly if this is the case, TI team stands of little chance to fix that as none presently in team have win8 to even try it AFAIK. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
I can confirm that Tiberian Sun runs under Windows 8. I have it running through a VM at this very moment.
To have it run, I had to set compatibility to XP SP2, set it to run in reduced color mode where I used 16-bit color and checked "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings."
It still suffers the same lag issues but it runs as you would expect. _________________ Ponies are awesome. QUICK_EDIT
The last crash has to do with a NewTheater=yes DemandLoad=yes building, which tries to unload its previous image data. Wasn't there some compatibility setting that needs to be set or cleared to solve it? _________________ QUICK_EDIT
thanks for the tip, but it still has the same problems maybe i have better luck getting a old pc and installing xp in it. or is there a emulator besides vm ware i can try? QUICK_EDIT
