GDI-Nod Campaign continuity issue
Subject description: The city specifically
I get that they are separate campaigns but they seem to be somewhat connected in the beginning at least.
So in GDI 1, you get Owen to meet with Globotech. Then in 2, you get him from the outpost to the city. In 3, you're "rescuing" Shepard. Finally in 4, you get Kazuars for the first time.
However, Nod's campaign is a little odd in comparison. In 1, you destroy the city that is seen in GDI 2. I get that you can have the timeline a little off. However, in Nod 2, you see what appears to be the last part of GDI 2, but the part that you see of the city is rebuilt. Then in Nod 3, you see Kazuars.
Is there some kind of reasoning that can fix this? It seems discontinuous in a way. QUICK_EDIT

...are you sure that those are the same city? Because I had always just assumed that GloboTech had multiple cities is was managing and that the two were different cities. QUICK_EDIT
I had thought of that, but the likeness is uncanny. (Probably because the staff recycled that portion of the first map.)
If they wanted to make it look like a separate city, they really should put the effort in it. (I'm not saying they're lazy, they probably have a lot to do themselves. However, I can't believe that these are separate cities as they stand.) QUICK_EDIT
The Nod Campaign starts later than GDI's campaign, time-wise. I can't really explain it any better than that, my brain isn't working today. X_x QUICK_EDIT
Correct me if I'm wrong but The First Nod mission takes place I think after GDI mission 3 or 4. When GDI went too Globotech's city to use said material too rebuild there army. But then had too retreat due to a Nod attack. QUICK_EDIT
This is the chronological order of the first missions: G1, G2, N1, then N2. The city is the same in the last three ones. In N2 it should be more damaged like you said, this is something I didn't think about when I started making the campaign as the order of the missions was still a bit unclear to me. This will definitely be fixed once I have finished all of the missions and start making the campaign more consistent. _________________

Ok thanks, that clears it up for me. I was just a little confused about Nod. Will we be seeing more missions being crossed over? QUICK_EDIT
