um... I don't think the Ambulance of the GT work... you have to first to deploy it then drag soldiers in individually just ain't smooth enough... i would suggest to either deploy first, then act as a super medic, or just simply act as a super medic as it is without any deployment.

Unfortunately, vehicles can't heal infantry. It's an engine limitation. I don't remember if buildings can heal infantry with a weapon, the ambulance as it is works as a hospital, a special type of building.

As Crim said, limitations prevent us from doing what you have in mind, sadly. The deployable ambulance was done in an attempt to make it something more than just a prop.

might i suggest making twisted insurrection on a better engine...like cnc red alert 3 or tib war 3....would take longer to do things but man would it be so much better...preferably red alert 3 since it still has the wall grid system

You can make buildings can heal infantry but it won't quit trying to heal when the infantry is fully healed and the heal weapon will heal units like tanks and you can force fire the building to heal other buildings!

That would take us a decade if not longer. TI has already been in development since 2007 or so, and that's with the TS engine; switching to a 3D engine with entirely different coding isn't going to happen unless someone donates Aro a few millions so he could hire some extra 3D modelers and programmers.

A few issues aside, the TS engine is actually doing pretty well for TI's purposes (at least in my opinion).

The TS engine may have it's quirks, but I like it's charm, and as Rampastein said, it does what we've set out to do, mostly. With the addition of the new client, I'm happy with working on this engine.

That and Red Alert 3 engine which was suggested, in particular suffers from serious limitations when it comes to modability. It's no coincidence that several ambitious projects on that engine have been canned, one even explicitly because of this issue.

If anything, then TI might switch using OpenRA engine, once OpenRA has complete TS support. This move would allow us to keep all graphics and makes it only necessary to change the ini codes into the OpenRA yaml format.
Then we could profit from the open engine and code our own new logics into it.

And even then it'd be a lot of work, first learning to use the engine efficiently and then adding/converting all the TI code and assets.
