Hello , I'm asking if there is a way to LAN without the use of the internet . I press the cncnet/Lan button but I don't know what to do to make it work offline . If there is a way please help .

Me and my brother were playing via cncnet but it was lagging a lot afterwards I changed his render settings to Ts-DDraw as he's computer is windows 8 we have yet to see if it will reduce the lag but we wish to know how to play offline to reduce it further if possible .

Just use http://cncnet.org/files/cncnet.exe, put it in your game's folder start it once and it will create a wsock32.dll, which is the new LAN patch.

TI already comes with that DLL, so it will make no difference.

The current version of the TI Client doesn't support LAN. TS-DDRAW usually reduces the lag significantly on Windows 8, try playing online with it. The next version of the client could support LAN, but I'm not promising anything.
