 TMP Studio 1.0 Released!
It's been a long time coming, and it's finally here.
Hello everyone! What you are about to see will hopefully change the face of terrain modding as we know it.

TMP Studio 1.0 has arrived:





Download: Discontinued. Do NOT distribute. Anyone found doing so will be charged with ripping as they are not authorized to release the program.
Anyone already with a copy may keep using it, but are to be NO more downloads.

Known Bugs:
1. This initial release has a minor bug with file association. The installer can't create the association the way the program likes it, so once you run it for the first time, go into Options and click the associate button.
2. The Add Tile function is currently broken and will destroy your tmp if you use it. Don't touch. Wink
3. The program can't import complete tiles from an image, only the main tiles, no extra images. So you do the extras manually by right clicking on the tile and importing extra image.
4. ZData for extra images is currently not saved properly. To avoid graphical glitches in-game, you should fix the ZData using XCC TMP Editor .05 and already existing tiles as reference. Note this only applies to new tmps and/or newly imported/dimensions changed extra images.

I've seen the WIP versions of this masterpiece and I loved them. The amount of goodie features put into the program goes beyond your wildest dreams, seriously. No more fiddling around in paint, photoshop, or paint shop pro, this tool does a lot of work for you.

Icy, you and whoever else worked on this should deserve a chocolate cookie for being made of sheer awesomeness. Very Happy

Don't forget VK guys. I may have designed the interface and come up with many of the features, but VK coded the whole thing. Though from this point on, I will be the one coding future releases.

I updated the first post with a note for everyone, please read it.

i have it saved. on my desktop. I'll upload it later when i get back to the barracks. Even though Icy wants to be a dick about it, it's a great modding tool, and VK coded it.

Being selfish and holding back a great tool to help others progress is completely childish and immature. I would think you, of all people Icy, would be against that.

But, again, there is no need for arguments here (if you have something to say to me, say it over MSN please). I will upload it in the C&C Editing tools forum when I am able.

Thats true holding back such a nice tool is insane thing. It may help others in moding and this nice tool should be open source like other tools of CnC moding.

Icy reacted the way he did because by and large, the community pissed him off one time too many by showing disrespect on the issue of copyright and ownership. He has the right to withhold work that he took part in the creation of - it is VK's desire as well that the tool not be shared.

I'm frankly ashamed that people would continue to distribute work that has been requested to not be distributed by both of the original creators.

It is a shameful maneuver and displays the very reasons that Icy originally discontinued it in blatant light.

I've always respected Icy, but holding back TMP Studio is something I just don't support altogether. Icy always moaned that the community wasn't "original" enough when it came to mods that were still using Vanilla terrain, he releases something that would help to prevent that vastly and then decides to withdraw it just because he lost an argument? Makes a lot of sense. Oh, and please do show me the quote from VK proving that it was also his desire that TMP Studio isn't to be distributed, after all it's his program and not Icy's. Until I see proof that VK himself doesn't want TMP Studio to be distributed I fully support any distribution of the program.

Well, Icy had a fit when I re-posted it..then some idiot dats something had pm saying i was breaking copyright laws and he was gonna sue me. i told the dude im not claiming i made the program or selling it. Lol..... When he b***hed cuz I posted it I was thinking, why? He released it and now he doesn't want anyone to have it. Then when dats pm'ed me and whined and threatened me me legal action I was thinking are you serious? Do you think I am threatened by 18 yr old kid whose words mean nothing.... I don't know if I pulled the tmp studio from my post or admin, but to avoid whining by those 2 I chose not to post it up. Icy said I could email it or PM it to people and that would be fine. I've grabbed a copy from this thread so don't worry about sending me it in PM now. Another stupid thing is that I once had a copy that is probably tucked away on an old HD I have laying around, but I have to mess around with PMs to get a replacement copy. Anyhow, its all good for now, thanks Aro.
