What is this I don't even-

I know y'all might go on saying ,"Meh, Islam is too sensitive. Quick to start flaming people for stuff like this." But seriously, is something like THIS even acceptable today? Heck, it was only until HIGHSCHOOL was I thought about terrorism. This is certainly not a good way to commemorate 9/11.

What do you think about this?

This is not a coloring book. This is a fucking sham. Also, why the fuck does Osama look like a weird Santa Claus?

Anyway, this is bullshit. Muslims have every right to be upset about this if the message really is "Muslims are all terrorists." However, it isn't just Muslims who should be angered by this shit. Everyone in the United States should detest this. Well, anyone who doesn't believe the US government murdered its own citizens or someone used bombs (conspiracy theorists are wrong at all times; don't argue with me on that). Basically, if you have a beating heart and you're not a sadistic dickbag, this should not be kosher.

I'd get it if it'd be some sort of joke for adults, but otherwise... ztyping bullshit.

I still question Bin Laden's death, the whole thing just seems ridiculous. Every single US Citizen must want to see a real picture at least.

He told you not to argue with him on that. Was it so hard not to? Nobody with a shred of sanity, common sense, or intelligence should believe the conspiracies about, at the very LEAST, 9/11, the moon landings, or JFK.

It also previously published a coloring book about the Tea Party, which Bell had said was outselling another one he published about Obama.

Honestly, I suck about US conspiracies, but regarding other so called "conspiracies" regarding US sphere of influence, then yes, I can argue to say that not all of them are bullshit.

The company publishing the book insists that the book is "educational" and not generalizing Muslims as terrorists. That picture says otherwise though. American kids might end up thinking that shooting Muslims is justified since Muslim terrorists killed 3000 Americans.

Still, even if this book is not about Muslim terrorists, its still highly inappropriate. I mean, there are graphic images of soldiers shooting people in this damn book. Are you sure this is supposed to be a children's book to start with? This is like letting your 4 year old kid watch a fucking Quentin Tarantino movie, blood, gore, swearing and all X_x

Wow that actually makes me feel sick. They had the exact same books in Nazi Germany and we all know where that went. Indoctrination of any kind is terrifying, and that's all this book is doing.

You know this makes me question the whole freedom thing. No publisher should have the rights to publish this shit, not knowing the true extent of the potential damage it can cause to future generations. Literature is after-all the most powerful weapon.

Everyone has the freedom to do whatever they want but they do have their limits. There's a reason for the phrase ,"You've gone too far."

I agree with freedom fighter.

Everyone should have the freedom to do what they want.

Just that in some cases, people will probably think you're an insane crazyass fascist who should have been hung in Nuremberg.

I guess the US Government/Military is simply too arrogant to accept they made mistakes. I think they haven't found his body, thus they invented a strange story about his death.

Though i'm quite sure he is dead, otherwise Bin Laden would have surely made a video showing him alive and this way again tease the US.

Something that really worries me is, that the USA is more and more becoming a police state.

Then the Jewish community would hang you for making such a book, more so the Germans if they are depicted as Nazi monsters killing the Jews.

What I find disturbing is that this colouring book seems to be in high demand. Look,

Quote:
The company says it has sold out of its first print run of 10,000 copies and is printing new books everyday to keep up with demand.

Its either the buyers are brainwashed imbeciles or their catchphrase is ,"Yippee ki-yay, Motherfucker!"

Conservative groups and organisations in the USA and around the world are radicalizing.
They feel as if NATO doesn't do enough against the terrorist menace. Hell, most of them don't see a difference between terrorists and muslims.

Just look at what happened in Norway a while ago.

I don't understand why this is in this subforum, 9/11 itself has nothing to do with political matters. Besides, some children in the Middle East learn math with machetes and bullets. True story.

But honestly, I don't think I ever smiled so much in my life than the day I found out Osama died.

Are you questioning the fact that terrorism doesn't have much to do with political issues, or the fact that there are text books which make children count rifles for homework?

Terrorists hate the US system, however only government actions are "political."

The whole idea is political. If you believe it to be non-political because of their lack of affiliation, you've missed the entire point.

Go play with the rest of the children; the adults are talking.

That's where I disagree. Politics is government involvement in another government or itself. Terrorism is an act outside of politics. Later government actions might be called political, but terrorism itself wouldn't be literally political - especially when we are talking about the event that had occurred only, and the product concerning it, which involves no governments.

We cannot even be certain what group of people are involved. Sure, bin Laden might have something to do with it, but he is, last time I checked, not a government.

So... something can only be political if it's by the government?

If it involves or describes the government. This coloring book is a "memoir" of a plane crashing into a building, and is a coloring book. It sure doesn't talk about post-government actions or how outside governments might be involved in this. Although Saudi Arabia is highly suspicious.

001010011100101110, you're not making any sense. ie: you are an idiot, and poster boy for contraception
1) If politics can only happen in a government
2) And a government is made up of a group of people
3) Then a group of people can make political choices
4) Therefore, politics is a side-effect of government, rather than a result
5) Therefore terrorism as a tactic can take place as log as there is a group of people to carry it out
6) This group of people can make political choices
7) Therefore this group is a government!
It doesn't need to be a large entity to be a government, it just has to have a hierarchy which makes decisions. Something which both countries and Osama's lot have.

Quote:
Gov·ern·ance /ˈgʌvərnəns/ [guhv-er-nuhns]
noun
1. government; exercise of authority; control.
2. a method or system of government or management.

A government is just a hierarchy which governs.

Quote:
Tac·tic /ˈtæktɪk/ [tak-tik]
noun
1. tactics ( def. 1 ) .
2. a system or a detail of tactics.
3. a plan, procedure, or expedient for promoting a desired end or result.

A tactic is a way in which things are done. So while a tactic can be employed by a government it can also be employed by any other group.

You make me sad and angry in a way this colouring book couldn't.
Please, do the honourable thing and go away. Wink

This topic is a discussion of a coloring book which describes an ominous event. This might be offensive, but you cannot classify this as politically incorrect. How do you see this action as an action of a group is you cannot even be certain of which group? Sure, one man claims he did it, but a claim is a claim, just as someone else can take a similar credit.

I find it disturbing to see so many TV-shows on several TV channels here in Holland having 9/11-theme weeks. It more feels like a celebration then a remembrance (dunno if the correct word). I don't want to see those images all over again for a week.
Then again, this may be just the media being an attention-whore again, which annoys the hell out of me.

9/11 does mark an important moment in history.

From going to big bad enemies like the Triple Alliance, the Axis powers and the Warsaw pact, to something that might be very capable of causing terror, but severely lacks a way of actually destabilizing a country.
