Subject description: does it exist?

So I have been looking at the TI forums, folder, and at the website, but nowhere have I been able to find a map editor. Where might I be able to find one? In advance I would like to say thank you and that  your help is very much appreciated. Please have a link posted of where to get it if possible. The main reason I want to access a map editor is because there are no Globotech airstrips or warehouses in the skirmish maps, and I wish to have them in skirmish maps.

The map editor is located in the "FinalTI" folder, within TI's installation directory.

It seems that Bittah was absolutely correct regarding the Final TI name change. We'll make it more clear in the future.

But don't delete and then rename it like Bittah, where i lost all my DTA maps.

A simple "Map Editor" shortcut in the main TI folder, pointing to the FinalTI.exe would be enough.

Nowadays it's possible for the Client to rename a directory and all user files with it, and it transfers the files even if the destination directory already exists.

This is currently true of the airstrip but there are several maps with the warehouse on.

Erastus is absolutely right. To name a few: Twinside, Pig of Bays, Showdown.

Hey guys, this seems like a reasonable enough thread to ask some questions so I will.

Been playing around with your editor to edit some skirmish maps with giant unfair bases for fun, however I find myself unable to remove some objects from the map. Particularly just some rock piles and tiberium fields currently, but I tried putting new terrain on them, landscaping the area, putting buildings and units over top of them, and straight up deleting them! Can't get rid of them.

Edit: Just found out I can use goodie crates to get rid of tiberium, but now I can't get rid of the crates! Laughing

The other question is how do I test my map? It doesn't appear in the map selection of skirmish mode. At first I thought it was because it was saved as a n .mpr file as opposed to .map file like every other map, but even saving it as a .map file wouldn't make it appear. I was hoping to test to see if I was giving units and buildings the right ownership, and play it eventually of course.

Thanks!

Since the rocks are overlay, you need to remove them via the "Erase Overlay" menu on the sidebar, under "Special / overlay"; the same thing naturally goes for tiberium, crates and any other overlay.

To play your map, simply make sure it's inside of the "Custom" folder within the "Maps" directory and then select the "Custom" Game Mode in the Skirmish lobby.
