how do i make the map appear after i saved it in the skirmish map folder it wont pop up anywhere?

Save your file as a .MAP file and place it in the Maps > Custom directory. To save a map as a .MAP file, simply type .MAP at the end of your map name when saving, for example: MYMAP.MAP

i did but it hasnt popped up once...that was my first assumption so im out of ideas

Edit: nevermind i fixed it I think it was me..sorry to trouble you. In that case how do i make buildings owned to a player?

You mean buildings that are already on the map when the game starts? That requires a bit of trigger work, nothing too difficult.

Create a new trigger and name it whatever you want, the trigger's house doesn't matter so leave it to GDI. Then give it the event "8 Any Event" to make it run immediately when the game starts. Then add the action "14 Change House...", and in the parameter value select one of the "50 Spawn 1-8" ... "57 Spawn 1-8" options. The first one means the player who spawns at waypoint 0, the second one the player spawning at waypoint 1 and so on up to waypoint 7. Then place your buildings on the map and attach them to this trigger.
If you want to give buildings to more than just one player then you have to make one of these trigger for each player and change the action to match with their starting waypoint.

I don't know how much you know about mapping and triggers, so ask if I wasn't clear enough.

i have no knowledge of this editor...i have set up the trigger but i cant seem to make it do it for player 1 in a skirmish...i just wish the editor or the game was on a better engine....would benefit alot from that...ill do that for this game once its done but back to my case it doesnt seem to give control to me

Here's an example map that shows you how to do it, look at how the triggers are set up. Also double click on the buildings and you see that the triggers are attached to them in the attached tag dropdown.

However, while testing this feature I noticed that the AI players will sell these buildings immediately when they get them.. Rolling Eyes I wonder if the triggers still work with all human players in online games.
