Speed Up on Game Load
Every time I load a game from the main menu, the game speed is reset to fastest as soon as the game is loaded. (I usually play on Fast) This has caused several campaign mission failures, where Nod units stream in at ultra-high speed and destroy important units, such as my Commando. At Fast speed, micromanagement is no issue. At Faster, I can tolerate it and I'm working on doing better, however, Fastest is absolutely impossible to deal with.
However, when I load a game when I am already in one, this issue does not occur. QUICK_EDIT
I experienced the same problem. SUN.INI of my TI contains GameSpeed=3, but games loaded from main menu use GameSpeed=6 instead.
Another thing: the program does not warn you when you try to overwrite an existing saved game. _________________ "Resistance is futile!" - Promising Mammoth Mk. II VoiceAttack candidate
EDIT: It is a Borg quote from Star Trek, so it fits better to Cyborg Commando. QUICK_EDIT
I think it's the client, DTA does this too. We'll have to clench our butt cheeks and quickly press escape when games load, so we can change the speed to a more desirable setting. I'm sure a fix isn't too far down the railway for the fun train . _________________ Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger. QUICK_EDIT
Thanks guys, glad I am not the only one experiencing this issue. I had to mad press ESC as soon as I saw the mission come up. I managed to save my troops. QUICK_EDIT

Yeah, the game executable (game.dat) ignores GameSpeed= when loading saved games. I might be able to fix it by making the client write the game speed setting to spawn.ini, but it's not a bug in the client (TI_Launcher.exe) itself anyway. _________________ CnCNet Client | CnCNet TS patches | More Quality-of-Life Improvements for RA Remastered
It's great to know that the problem is simple, and even better so that you know a fix. It's a minor inconvience, but I still would love to see it be fixed asap. All in all, the client's great, and glad to know it wasn't the problem after all. _________________ Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger. QUICK_EDIT
Yes, to an extent. If you alter the game speed while in game, it will be acknowledged in your save, however, if you start a skirmish game but don't touch the slider in game at all other than selecting your speed from the skirmish lobby then it still loads the fastest rate. This is out of our control at the moment, but at least it's been fixed partially. QUICK_EDIT
